Come to the SMMU!

The Santa Cruz SMMU (Social Media Meet-Up) will take place on
Saturday, September 18, 2010
From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

On the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf Pier
(next to the Beach Boardwalk)
Walk out to the very end of the Pier, behind the Dolphin Restaurant, to meet-up with other SMMUers.

What to Bring:

Your camera(s)!
It can get hot standing around in the sun all day, so bring a hat with a visor and bottled water (or purchase drinks from local restaurants).
Consider printing business cards with your channel name to give to people you meet, and a note pad and pen to write down the usernames of people you want to look up when you get home.

Parking:

There is (pay) parking on the Pier. There is also a (more expensive) parking lot on the other side of the Beach Boardwalk. Free parking is located along West Cliff, past the Lighthouse (a bit of a walk back to the Pier).

SMMU? How about Social Media Meet-Up?

It used to be easy, we'd just say, "YouTube gathering," but now there's also Tweet-ups, and Facebook parties, and most of us are using multiple sites and platforms to network and communicate online, including blogs, vlogs, tweets, buzzes, status updates, streaming video chats, and more. So, SMMU!

This particular SMMU will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010, at the end of the Santa Cruz Pier, in beautiful Santa Cruz, California. For more particulars on time and place, click here.

The organizers of this SMMU are sometimes known as OhCurt and kenrg. Besides picking the time and place, they take no further responsibility.
